ADHD

According to CHADD, adults with ADHD often exhibit:

  • inconsistent performance at work or in their careers

  • struggles with day-to-day responsibilities

  • struggles with relationships

  • chronic frustration, guilt, or blame

  • difficulty maintaining attention, executive function, & working memory

Untreated and/or unsupported, ADHD (whether in adults, children, or teens) can often be self-medicated with caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and illicit drugs to cope with the stress, lack of focus, and struggle experienced by individuals with ADHD.

Support from a licensed therapist can be incredibly effective for anyone who lives with ADHD. With the right support, ADHD can shift from feeling like an uncontrollable, unmanageable struggle to a superpower.
