David has an eclectic mix of life experience that informs his professional counselling practice. David is a graduate of St. Stephen’s University in New Brunswick, where he studied art history and literature and had the opportunity to visit Europe and Asia on study-travel terms. David’s passion for creativity and social justice led him to complete social work degrees at McMaster University and the University of Windsor.

David has a calm, welcoming and empathetic nature. He intently calls out the values and strengths in the lives of those he serves. David has professional experience both on the front lines of mental health and within clinical social work settings. David has training in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Grief Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT). His areas of counselling interest include: grief, cancer, spirituality, depression, anxiety, relationships, addictions (internet and pornography), and trauma.

Outside of the office, David pursues interests involving travelling, visiting art galleries, attending Toronto Raptors games, running, biking, and reading with a good cup of tea.
